Practical (only available in Dutch)
A team consists out of 10 players, 5 male (M) and 5 female (F).
Because our competition does not always have enough females, there is an exception to the rule.
A team needs at least 3F, where two males have to bat with a non preferred position (i.e. when you are male
and right – handed, you have to bat left – handed).
In a team of 5M and 5F, there have to be 2M and 2F in the infield, 2M and 2F in the outfield,
and the pitcher and the catcher have to be of different sexes.
There is also a specific batting order:

When a team is uncomplete, it can be supplemented by other teams.
This player may play on a one – time loan for the team where there is a player shortage.
If this is not possible, then at least 8 players per team are required on the field.
A field must meet certain conditions:

In Slowpitch, the ball has to be tossed underhand while one feet remains in contact with the pitcherplate
when the ball is released. A valid pitch must describe an arc of a minimum height of 1m80cm and a maximum height
of 3m60cm. This arc forces the pitcher to throw the ball in a gentle way.
The Home Umpire decides whether the ball crosses the strike zone or not.
The strike zone is applied like in any other form of Softball or Baseball (the ball needs to cross a part of the plate
between the batter’s armpit and knees).
The pitcher has a time limit of 10 seconds to deliver a pitch.
Every team needs to provide one umpire and one scorer. This umpire is supposed to have a sufficient knowledge
of the game (/ rules), and should have attended an umpire – clinic, which takes place during the winter.
The competition exists out of ten gamedays, where we play once every three weeks, unless noted otherwise.
A gameday consists out of three teams competing against eachother (i.e. each team plays two games.
E.g. Team A plays against Team B & C, Team B plays against Team A & C, and Team C plays against Team A & B).
When a game can not proceed due to circumstances, the teams may chose a new date (or data, provided distribution of games).
These games must be played before the next gameday occurs.
A game is played over seven innings. After sixty minutes, no new inning is started (unless a tie).
When a tie occurs, both teams will keep playing inning per inning until there is a winner.
For each match won: 3 points.
For each match lost: 1 point.
Forfait: 0 points.
In the case of a tie, the results of previous matches between the teams will be taken into account.
Once again in case of a tie, the difference in points scored and points scored against shall prevail.
